Garth Scrivner, CFP®, CPA, PFS

Garth currently serves as the managing director and head of the Albuquerque office of United Capital Financial Advisors. With a diverse background spanning various financial disciplines, Garth provides tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of his clients.

Prior to joining United Capital, Garth held the position of senior investment counselor at StanCorp Investment Advisers and was the founder of his own advisory firm. Garth has amassed over 20 years of experience in financial planning and investment management, establishing a solid reputation for his expertise and client-centric approach. Garth’s extensive background, breadth of experience, and dedication to both his clients and community underscore his leadership in the financial advisory field in Albuquerque.

Garth holds professional credentials including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from New Mexico State University and has been a licensed CPA in New Mexico for 25 years. Actively engaged in professional organizations, Garth is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Outside of his professional endeavors, Garth resides in Albuquerque with his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, Addison. Committed to giving back to his community, Garth is involved with organizations such as the Supportive Housing Coalition, Roadrunner Food Bank, All Faiths Board of Directors and Investment Council, and the United Way NM Planned Giving Council.
