Jon Mertens, MBA, CFP®
Relationship Manager
Jon is a Relationship Manager in the Fort Collins office of United Capital Financial Advisors. He is responsible for creating financial plans with clients and advisors. Jon is a leader on the team overseeing everything from client onboarding to developing and executing strategies to help meet client needs and goals.
Prior to joining United Capital, Jon worked at TIAA for nearly five years, where he worked in Retirement Services as well as Asset Retention and Engagement and most recently served as a Senior Brokerage Consultant.
Jon received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Colorado State University and a Master of Business Administration from Ashford University. Additionally, he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
In his free time, Jon enjoys spending time outside with friends and family, snowboarding in the winter and days at our local Horsetooth Reservoir in the summer.
