Julia Connell focuses on advising clients on all facets of financial planning at United Capital Financial Advisors. In her role, Julia works with clients to bring understanding and discipline to people’s financial choices in their everyday lives.
Julia began her career in the financial services industry by working as the Chief Financial Officer for Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She also worked as a financial consultant to the healthcare industry and has extensive knowledge of medical practices in financial management. Julia joined Hoxton Financial, Inc. and continued with HFI Wealth Management as a partner and senior wealth advisor.
Julia is a graduate of Shepherd University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University. Julia holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, where she also completed her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
Julia is an active member of the community. She serves on the Board of Directors of Valley Health System, Community Foundation of the Northern Shenandoah Valley and the Leary Educational Foundation, and is Past-President of the Rotary Club of Winchester.
