Marie Campion, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

As Chief People Officer, Marie oversees the People First team for United Capital Financial Advisors. She is responsible for the human resources, payroll, recruiting, culture, and learning and development areas of United Capital.

Marie has more than two decades of experience working in the wealth management and professional services industries. She has led HR teams at BerganKDV and CitiFinancial Auto.

Prior to joining United Capital, Marie was the senior human resources manager at BerganKDV (acquired by Creative Planning), leading the HR team that supported several hundred employees and managers in various states. Her experience also includes being a human resources business partner with RBC Wealth Management where she supported large scale initiatives for employees and managers across the country.

Marie received her Bachelor of Science degree in finance from St. Cloud State University. She possesses Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designations. Marie is also certified in Mental Health First Aid and MPO (Managing Performance in Organizations).

Marie enjoys spending time with family and friends. Outside the office, Marie enjoys reading, crafting, live music and theater, and visiting state parks.
