Shari Burns, CFA®
Managing Director
Shari Burns is Head of Office at the Seattle office of United Capital Financial Advisors. She is passionate about working with individual and institutional clients to find solutions to complex problems, including coordinating estate plans and long-term planning. Shari thrives on creating customized portfolio strategies for clients at United Capital Financial Advisors.
With over 35 years of investment management experience, her career has included security trading of equities, corporate, treasury and municipal bond markets, financial analyst for several companies and industry groups, and portfolio management of individual and trust portfolios, endowment funds and pension funds. Prior to joining United Capital, Shari started Paragon Investment Management in 1991.
Shari earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation in 1978 and is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Seattle. She attended the University of Washington, majoring in finance and economics. When not in the office, Shari loves art, travel, and spending time with her family. She is also involved in philanthropic events in the community.
