Terri Ward, CFP®

Terri Ward is the leader of the Nashville, Tennessee office of United Capital Financial Advisors, where she has been advising clients as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional for over 20 years. Terri helps individuals and their families consider not just their finances, but how their life and money connect. She then builds a financial strategy with the client’s values, priorities, and beliefs at the center, proactively identifying opportunities and helping to avoid obstacles, so they can maximize their return on life both today and tomorrow.

Before joining United Capital in 2015, Terri established her own Registered Investment Advisor, Richland Advisory, based on the principle that all clients deserve an adviser who provides unbiased, objective advice in every area of their financial life. Terri chose to partner with United Capital due to their shared and unwavering commitment to put clients’ interests above all else.

Terri was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, and attended Georgia Tech on an athletic scholarship. Terri went on to graduate with Honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Management with Certificates in Finance and Economics. She was a four-year letter winner and was named to the ACC All-Athletic and All-Academic teams, as well as an active member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

Terri and her husband have two children and reside in Brentwood, Tennessee. In her free time, Terri enjoys traveling with her family, playing tennis, reading, and volunteering at Brentwood Academy where she recently co-chaired their “Forward in Faith” Capital Campaign.
